Ethics for Nerds

Ethics for Nerds is our response to the observation that computer science affects our modern society and will shape the society of the future. The lecture is addressed to computer science students, teaching them basics from moral philosophy and the philosophical methodology. Furthermore, we confront them with recent and foreseeable effects of computer science-based research and products. It covers questions of privacy, persuasive tech, responsible decision-making in the age of augmentation by models, and fundamental questions of research ethics, like dual-use problematics.
